Joel Strautman

Joel is currently completing his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Lethbridge, majoring in Neuroscience. He originally started his B.Sc. degree at Grant MacEwan Community College in Edmonton, Alberta, and transferred after the completion of his second year. He is interested in studying learning and memory, especially with regard to their potential enhancement, and intends to focus on the human nervous system. Joel is currently in his 4th year of undergraduate studies and is completing an honours thesis course supervised by Dr. Bruce McNaughton and an independent study supervised by Dr. Rob Sutherland. At this point, Joel intends to further his education by pursuing a combined M.D./Ph.D. program, possibly at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.
