Heather Pirot

Research Technician, Euston lab.
Role
Heather will be running rats on various behavioural tests, collecting data on behavioural performance and doing basic analyses of the results. She will also be assisting with surgeries. As lab manager, Heather will be responsible for training and supervising undergraduate research projects, tracking animals, ordering supplies, and other administrative duties.
Biography
Heather was born in Lethbridge and raised in a small town in Southern Alberta. She moved back to Lethbridge in 2005 to attend University. Heather will be graduating in Spring 2012 after she completes her final Co-op work term at the CCBN. Heather will complete the maximum number of work terms allowed, all of which were as a research assistant in a variety of lab and field settings. In her Co-op experiences, Heather has worked with many interesting people, as well as cows, fish, and birds.
