Aubrey Demchuk
Biography
Aubrey was born and raised in Lethbridge. She moved to Edmonton to complete her B.Sc in Molecular Genetics at the University of Alberta and, under an NSERC scholarship and for her Honor's thesis, performed a genetic screen to identify genes that specifically affect virulence through the Locus of Enterocyte Effacement in Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) under Dr. Tracy Raivio.
Education
- 2008 - B.Sc with First Class Honors in Molecular Genetics, University of Alberta.
Current Role
She is currently working under Dr. Bruce McNaughton as a molecular technician and is involved with the development of immediate-early gene activation markers of neural activity in the brain.
