Andrea Gomezpalacio

Andrea was born in Mexico City where she obtained her B. S. in Psychology. Since 2002 she collaborated in the laboratory of Neurobiology of Learning and Memory at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), under the direction of Martha Escobar. For her PhD Andrea performed research about the role of BDNF in Long-term Potentiation and structural plasticity at hippocampal mossy fibers. She came to Lethbridge on June 2009 to work as a Postdoctoral Fellow, were she is doing research about information processing in the neocortex after ischemic stroke.
